Things of Note

wantedtogowithherThe Narration is aware that the musical is more known than the book, so here are some things to note about Glinda drawn from the book (with a sprinkle of the original Wizard of Oz novels).
♕ Glinda's age isn't stated directly, so we're going with late-teens-early-twenties area.
♕ Considering the girls shriek when boys come upon them with little more than bare feet, the clothing ideals of Glinda's land are far more Victorian than her musical counterpart. No halter tops and knee-length skirts for her. Assume the most she's got exposed is her collarbone (QUITE DARING), neck, and head unless stated otherwise.
♕ She is actually QUITE POWERFUL in the magical department, however all of this talent is latent and currently unused except when her subconscious/desire Makes Things Happen. She's yet to have enough practice or training to consciously use any of this gift.
♕ She's drawn from roughly right after being abandoned by Elphaba to shortly before that. She has grown quite fond of the green girl, and other than the sudden sting of betrayal she hasn't had time to grow bitter to that fondness spurned.
♕ Glinda does not make a habit of spending time around boys unescorted, so she's actually got little practical experience in the relationships department. This is probably how she's gone so long without realizing that she is absolutely in love with Elphaba. (You'd think that her thinking - more than once - how wonderful it would be if Elphaba was a boy because then they could be married would have tipped her off. Or any of the events on their trip to the Emerald City. It didn't.)
